The North Carolina Open All Age Championship is conducted primarily to advance the charitable and educational purposes of The Sporting Dog & Habitat Foundation. Through this event, we demonstrate superior working dog genetics, promote responsible breeding and training standards, and educate the public on habitat conservation, particularly the preservation of native game bird populations and their ecosystems. The purse is offered solely to attract the highest-caliber competitors, thereby maximizing the educational and conservation impact of the event. The prize money is a minor, incidental tool to achieve these exempt purposes and does not constitute a primary purpose of the organization.
